DTSTAMP:20261103T021025Z
DESCRIPTION:\n\n \nRethinking Estate Planning for Almost Everyone ie. Those Not Certain to Pay Death Tax\n \nAs estate tax exemptions have increased, the landscape of tax-sensitive estate planning has fundamentally changed. Strategies once focused on minimizing estate taxes and keeping assets outside taxable estates may no longer be the most effective approach. Today, income tax planning, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances are increasingly important considerations.\n \nThis presentation will explore how estate planning professionals can rethink traditional strategies to better serve clients and their families. Topics will include the evolving role of general powers of appointment, the strategic use of grantor trusts, post-mortem planning flexibility, marital deduction decisions, and the importance of evaluating when assets should be distributed rather than retained in trust. Attendees will gain a fresh perspective on modern estate planning techniques and their implications for estate planners, trustees, tax professionals, and other members of the estate planning community.\n \nSpeaker: Phil Lindquist, Lindquist Eisenberg LLP\n \nPhil Lindquist is an accomplished attorney specializing in estate planning, probate, and trust and estate litigation.
